The Club is delighted to announce that young Tom Boon has been selected for the Hampshire Under 11 Development Squad for the 2008 season. He follows in his brother's foot steps who is currently in the Under 13 squad.

At the tender age of 15, Jake Lilley has been selected to play for the Hampshire Academy against Hursley on Sunday in the rearranged game in Southern Premier Division 1. Top notch Jake.

The Club is delighted to announce that it has another Hampshire Colt. Young Jake Lilley has been selected to joined the final Hampshire squad this year in the Under 15 age group. Well done Jake!

Under 12 team beat Poole Town A to lift the East Dorset Indoor Leaue title. Chasing 151, Bashley youngsters ran out winners by 3 wickets with an over to spare. Last year the same team lifted the Under 11 title.

Following an emphatic win against Bournemouth Vikings in the Quarter-Final and Dorset Girls U14s in the Semi-Final, the Under 12 side has reached the Final of the East Dorset U12 indoor league. The Final will be played against Poole Town B on Saturday 10 Feb 07. Bashley U12 145-3; Dorset Girls U14 109 all out.

Under 11 Hawks lifted the Walter Drodge New Forest Cup for the second time in as many years yesterday comprehensively beating BAT. Unfortunately the Under 13 team could not quite do the same and fell short after early wickets. Match Report .

Both the Under 11 Hawks and the Under 13 sides have reached the finals of their NF cup competitions. The U13 side enjoyed a comfortable game against Farley and the Hawks beat Redlynch and Hale in a cliffhanger - skipper Johnny Bettle taking 3 wickets in the last over claim what seemed to be an unlikely victory and a place in the final on 30 July at Langley Manor CC. The Under 11 Teams made an emphatic start to the seaon with both the Hawks and Herons winning their opening games. U11 Harriers start their season next week after their opponents, Redlynch and Hale scratched. Under 13s lost their first game of the season at BAT last Thursday, but the Under 17s continued last seasons winning form with a comfortable win over Redlynch and Hale.

The Club is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious ECB Clubmark accreditation. The Club is one of only 11 in the whole of Hampshire to have received the award and is a measure of quality in Clubs with junior sections.

Bashley (Rydal) are the new Dorset Under 11 Indoor Champions!! The Under 11s finished the indoor season in champagne style tonight beating Broadstone comfortably in the Dorset Indoor league play off final. Simon Morris and Ben Boon put on 85 in the last four overs to help post a very impressive score of 356-2 which proved well beyond a strong batting Broadstone side who finished on 321-6. A fantastic all round batting, bowling, and fielding display. Match report.

NFCCA has amended the league rules that govern colts cricket to allow rained off matches to be rearranged. This is not a mandatory requirement and does not apply to games cancelled for other reasons.

Bashley (Rydal) Under 11 (337-2) beat Christchurch (316-9) at Hurn yesterday in the league play off semi final of Dorset Cricket Centre's Winter Indoor League. In a much below par team performance, it was left to Ben Boon and Simon Morris who put on 69 without loss in the last 4 overs to take the game away from Christchurch. Final to be played at Hurn against Broadstone on 3 Feb 06 at 6.30 pm.

Bashley (Rydal) Cricket Club's Sally Morris is pictured (see Happy Column) congratulating Victoria Childs (right) who has recently been selected by Hampshire County Cricket Club as one of only 20 girls in Hampshire to join the Under 11 Girls' Development squad. She has been training with Bashley (Rydal) under 11 teams for the last three years and is a regular team member on Sunday morning playing in the New Forest leagues. She is following in the footsteps of Sally who also played for Bashley Under 11 Colts and later captained Dorset Ladies Under 15 Team three years ago.

The Under 11 indoor team (262 for 2) beat Parley Sports (260 for 4) to clinch top spot in their Dorset indoor league at Hurn on 10 Jan 06. The Team now plays in a semi final of the league play offs on 31 Jan 06 at 5.15 pm.

In response to numbers attending the winter indoor coaching sessions, the Club has entered three sides at the under 11 age group in the A and B leagues. It is only three years ago that two sides were entered for the first time. In addition, and again for the first time, an under 9 side will play friendly games against other clubs in the New Forest area. The Club hopes this will lead to the establishment of an under 9 league.
