Bashley (Rydal) Cricket Club is located on the edge of the New Forest. We are a community club providing a safe and friendly environment for players of all ages to enjoy the game of cricket. We run five Saturday league sides (from 2007) and a Sunday side plus colts cricket for all the age groups from Under 9 through to Under 17.

The first team competes at the highest recreational level in the elite ECB Southern Premier League Division 1. The second team plays in premier Division 3. We are one of only a handful of clubs that has two teams in the premier leagues. The third ,fourth and fifth teams play in the Hampshire Regional leagues and provide an ideal stepping stone from colts to senior cricket - or a resting place for those travelling in the opposite direction!

Since the premier league structure was launched in 2000 we have consistently achieved the Gold accreditation standard covering playing facilities and the provision of colts cricket. In May 2006, we became one of the first clubs in the county to achieve full Clubmark accreditation.

At the Bashley Cricket Ground (BCG), we have two pitches, two practice nets, plus a fully licensed bar in the main pavilion. The ground was voted the Premier League ground of the year in both 2001 & 2002 and there are plans to add further changing and shower rooms in the near future (finance permitting).

During the winter months we offer practice and coaching facilities in conjunction with nearby Ballard School for senior and colt members alike.

Coach/ Player Coach . . . . .

A player/coach or coach is required for the 2008 season and onwards to help us develop both the senior and colts cricket. You will be ECB UK qualified - minimum level 2 or equivalent. The package would be a summer contract involving 2 nights coaching per week and playing Saturday league games (if applicable). There is also a possibility in contracting for a coaching director role with the colts section which will involve either a winter package and /or a summer package. The possibilities are numerous and worth while for the right candidate. Please forward your cricketing CV and /or questions to John Neal.
