In their second pre-season friendly of 2021, Bashley 3s hosted Parley 1s on the main ground at the BCG. Parley batted first.

Jason Eede and James Edmunds took the new ball and reduced Parley to 44-2 after the first 10 overs. Both wickets fell to Jason Eede (8-0-51-2) with James Edmunds keeping the rate down from the other end (7-2-28-0). Shane Green (75) and Tom Saunders (48) then added 93 for the third wicket partnership before young Sam Davies bowled Green. Some big hitting from Roshan Embalagama (71*) took the final score to 249-6 with Ryan Taylor (3-0-13-2) picking up 2 wickets at the death.

In response, Bashley made an explosive start. Tom O’Sullivan and Ryan Taylor hit the ball to all parts of the BCG and took the score to 151 in the 18th over when Ryan Taylor was caught for a well made 75 which included 3 sixes and 11 fours. 2 overs later, Tom O’Sullivan was then caught for a 65 which included 13 boundaries. Bashley lost a few wickets and went from 151-0 to 189-4. Sam Scott (25) joined Jack Harris and the pair put on 49 before Scott was caught behind. This left Neil Taylor to join Jack Harris (48 not out) who hit the winning runs and saw the side home with 8 balls to spare in what was a great run chase.
