Bashley 3rd made it three wins a row when they cruised to a comfortable victory at home to bottom of the table Paultons.
Bashley won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Ryan Taylor and Lawrence Drake started confidently and had taken the score to 56 when Taylor was run out for 21 in the 13th over. Patrick Lewis joined Drake and they continued to add runs freely until Drake was run out for a well made 55.Graham Pardey (16) John Bettle (14) and Christian Anstey (23) were all dismissed as Bashley attempted to increase the run rate. Patrick Lewis however continued batting in impressive fashion until he was eventually caught behind for an excellent composed innings of 84 in the penultimate over. This left Bashley with a competitive final score of 236 for 7 after their 45 overs.

After tea, the Bashley opening bowlers Sam Laurent (4 for 23) and David Morris (2 for 23) soon made deep inroads into the Paultons batting. Bowling with accuracy and penetration they quickly reduced Paultons to just 30 for 6 after 17 overs. With Bashley sensing an early end to the game, the Paultons later order batsmen then started to apply themselves and proved difficult to remove on an excellent batting pitch. Nick Clark and Anstee did manage a wicket apiece but the Paulton’s captain Wilde (32 not out) and Holgate (22 not out) batted sensibly and saw out the remaining overs to deny Bashley maximum bowling points. This left Paultons at 133 for 8 and Bashley as comfortable winners in the end by 103 runs.
