Trojans 57 all out
Bashley (Rydal) II 58 for 4

The youngest ever Bashley second team travelled to Trojans containing six teenagers and two twenty year olds and returned with a 20 point victory to set them up nicely for their final league match of the season still at the top of the table. Having lost the toss and being asked to field first debutant Ted Bracey was given the new ball and bowled an excellent spell , taking 2 for 11 off 5 overs including the prolific Boyd with a jaffer. Fellow opener Ben Fletcher bowled without luck having two vehement shouts for lbw turned down and a catch dropped at slip. Change bowlers Josh Parsons ( 1 for 12) and Saif Achakzai (2 for 3) maintained the pressure to reduce the home side to 33 for 5. Atkins (18) tried to counter attack via an aerial route to counter act the long wet grass on the outfield but when Simon Watkins (2 for 11) bowled him the tail-enders once again had no answer to the leg spin of Ethan Baker who finished with 3 for 3 , including a superb diving catch by Tripcony, as the home side were bowled out for 57 in 23.1 overs.

The Bashley innings got off to a shaky start with debutant Louis Prichard unluckily run out in the first over and with Donaldson extracting huge seam movement and bounce out of the damp surface the game was in the balance at 16 for 3. Once again in ā€“ form captain Pat Lewis took control and somehow managed to find some timing in his strokes hitting 3 fours and a six in his unbeaten 30 as victory was achieved by 6 wickets with 29 overs to spare.
