Fawley 159/9
Bashley (Rydal) 162/2

Fawley lost veteran opener Parratt dragging on to his stumps off Sam Stroud (1 for 30) with just six runs on the board. Kieran Earl (25) and Brendan Streather (31) then added 55 to get the innings back on track. George Wilson took three quick wickets including the dangerous Munir brilliantly caught by Achakzai at cover off his first ball to reduce the visitors to 92 for 6. Simon Watkins (1 for 16 off 8 overs) bowled with great control and Achakzai (1 for 12) enjoyed his first bowl of the season as only Freeman (31) managed any further telling contribution as Wilson returned to the attack to finish with 5 for 38 as the innings closed on 159 for 9.

Bashley lost opener James Turner for just five. Skipper Pat Lewis joined debutant 16 year old opener Will Tripcony in a match winning partnership of 113 in 22 overs. Lewis continued with his fine form this season once again timing the ball superbly through the off side and severely punishing anything short as he remained unbeaten on 81 from 76 balls including 12 fours. Tripcony started cautiously but gradually grew in confidence and was just starting to expand his shot making when he was unluckily run out for a composed 44 from 85 balls including 4 fours. Jacob Gordon (17) helped Lewis secure the win to keep Bashley on top of the table with two games left.
