Players' Charter

You play for Bashley (Rydal) Cricket Club and as such are available for selection for all 5 Teams.

The Selection Committee is compromises the Chairman of Selectors and the five team Captains (contact details are below). Selection takes place on Tuesday Evenings at 7.30pm. If you have any views on selection, please contact the appropriate Captain or Chairman of Selectors yourself rather than through a third party (i.e. Team-mate or Parent). These officials have been appointed by the Management Committee and ratified at the Club AGM.

Availabilities to play will be taken each week. It is vital that you are clear about whether you can play or not the following week. Ideally it would be polite to let your captain know of any known absences i.e. Weddings/ Holidays well in advance. Clear availability will lead to less disruption to all players in the club and save the captains numerous phone calls at the end of the week.

Annual subscriptions will be collected by the end of May. It is your responsibility to pay and Bob Paul will be coordinating this for 2008 season.

Please ensure that prior to turning up on a match day you have your Match Fees, this will make life easier for the captain. Cash flow is imperative for the club & late payments of either Annual Subscriptions or Match Fees may lead to a suspension from playing until paid.

Practice will take place on Tuesday night for the 1st and 2nd teams and Wednesday night for all other players.

We are an amateur Club ran by an excellent Management Committee and numerous volunteers. We have a fantastic colts set up and the Club is the envy of many in the area. As a player you are an ambassador. With that in mind it is requested that all players wear Club shirts and caps (if worn) during league matches. It would also be appreciated by all the Management Committee & volunteers if you could support the club by staying for a drink and a bite to eat after your games and support the various social events that take place.
