After a tough first game of the season, Bashley U11s bounced back in their second game, against Michelmersh & Timsbury.  A superb all round team performance saw Bashley as worthy winners. The tone of the day was set by opener William Lewis, with a quick-fire cameo of 15. Daniel Hanlon Rice and Thomas Manning carried this forward with commanding retired not out scores of 25 and 26 respectively.  The Bashley batting innings was pushed over the 100 mark by a Charlie Donnison 10.  William Manning opened the bowling and for the second match on the trot was highly economical, putting pressure on the opposing batsmen.  This pressure was maintained by Joss Esposti, Joshua Schafer and Kieran Pardy, with five wickets between them.   The Bashley fielding was excellent, as was Ollie Owen’s first stint behind the stumps.  The result was three run outs.  Well done boys

Bashley 102 for 4.

Michelmersh and Timsbury 39 all out.
