Development Plan

The development plan has been at the heart of the club’s management since 1998. The format is now on version three, to accommodate the ever changing ECB requirements, but the basic purpose remains the same.

Namely to identify A “what we have got”, B “what we want to have” and then “how we are going to get from A to B”.

2007 Progress Summary

Playing Side

We have increased the number of junior sides again. We ran 7 last season, with an ambition to run 9 by 2011.We started a 5th team to create opportunities for all U15s and U17s to play senior cricket.We are on track to close the gap between the 2nd and 3rd teams to a maximum of three leagues by 2010. It is now down to four.We achieved our aim of 25% of players in the league teams being U19.

Capital Projects

Plans are advanced for new outdoor net facilities. With money raised by the Colts, and grants from the National Lottery and the Town Council we have raised £20,000 of the £25,000 required.The HCB are working with us to get access to significant funding to help with the plans for improving the changing facilities. This is a massive project, with a cost of circa £100k, and we will need to make use of all the skills and labour that we can muster from club members. So be prepared to help !!!!!
