Kevin Nash became only the sixth Southern Premier League bowler to take 400 wickets, all for Bashley (Rydal), his one and only club, when he had St. Cross opener Tom Foyle (0) caught by Josh Digby as Bashley defeated the visitors St. Cross by 197 runs. He went on to rip out the top order with another three wickets to finish with figures of 9-2-27-4, he was well backed up by the other bowlers with Mitch Wilson (3-31) Tom Barber (2-30) and Simon Watkins (1-18) to dismiss St. Cross for 115 in the 34th over and this was after Bashley captain Michael Porter had won the toss and chose to bat first.

The opening batsmen Tom Gates and Josh Digby survived the lively new ball attack of Hampshire pro Asher Hart and overseas player Logan Van Beek to take the score to 32 when Digby was caught by keeper R. Hadfield for 21 off Hart, four runs later Gates (13) was also caught behind, this time Van Beek was the bowler. With the total on 80 Porter (14) was also caught behind off P. Rathod. Tom Jacques joined Patrick Page and in exciting partnership they added 84 runs when Page fell lbw to Van Beek (3-52) for an excellent 60. Jacques was the next to go also to Van Beek for 57 off 68 balls. Chris Vaughan (36), Chris Ridley (21) and then Mitch Wilson with a blistering 61 from just 39 balls took the Bashley total to a massive 312-8 and then Kevin Nash took centre stage.
