Trojans 153 all out
Bashley (Rydal) II 154 for 6

Pre-match rain resulted in the match being reduced to 45 overs per side and captain Pat Lewis was relieved to win the toss and field under leaden skies. Once again Sam Stroud bowled an excellent opening spell in taking 4 for 27 in seven overs in helpful conditions. Chris Vaughan (2 for 20) also bowled with good control in his nine overs and with George Wilson (1 for 54) chipping in Trojans were struggling at 66 for 6. Bohme (38) and Oakden (44) then batted well to add 76 in 16 overs before Neil Taylor (3 for 4) induced Bohme and the tail to provide catching practice as the visitors were dismissed for 153 in just 36.2 overs.

Sam Stroud – 4 for 27

Bashley lost Alex Turner and Underwood with just 23 on the board both to the accurate Donaldson (2 for 9 off 10 overs) but once his spell had finished scoring became easier and both Lewis (20) and Vaughan (19) had useful partnerships with opener James Turner who again displayed his mature temperament in making a patient 39 from 88 balls before being fifth man out at 102 in the 32nd over. Sam Kennett (10) played shot of the day before being caught but Stroud and Wilson , who made a classy unbeaten 29 from 34 balls including 5 fours, ensured no further losses to maintain Bashley’s unbeaten start to the season.
