First team save best for last and beat Alton by 9 wickets having bowled them out for 59 runs (Kevin Nash 4 for 24,Ben Nolan-Stone 3 for 9 and Matt King 3 for 17) securing the Club's place in prem Div 1. Seconds lose at Totton and Eling, but finish fourth overall in prem Div 3. Gavin Bailff ( 3 for 14) and Callum Maher (3 for 32) taking the bowling credits.Shaun Lilley (52) and Mike West (29) top scoring in a 27 run defeat.Thirds get hammered at Rowner but secure promotion to County 4 South next year. Fourth and Fifth teams also enjoy comfortable victories. Fifth team finish second and secure promotion to Regional SW Div 3.

The first team slump to second from bottom after another defeat,this time at Andover.Andy Sexton (48),Chris Jones (33) and thirties from Neil Thurgood and Glyn Treagus set the home side 189 to win, which they manage in some comfort.This sets up a must win game at home to Alton on Saturday.The second team's promotion hopes are virtually ended with a 38 run defeat at home to Portsmouth.John Whiting's 5 for 33 helps dismiss the visitors for just 177.Ben Nolan-Stone's typically beligerent 33 is the only innings of note against a very good bowling attack as they are dismissed for 139.

The first team's struggles continue as they are beaten at home by bogey side Bournemouth once more.Despite restricting the visitors to 220 (Kevin Nash 3 for 31) they fall short on 152 with only Richard Morris (55) making a significant impact with the bat.The 2nd team remain in promotion contention with a comfortable win at Fareham.Ben Nolan-Stone (72) and Shaun Lilley (62) together with 56 extras see the two's post 264 before John Whiting (four) and Nolan-Stone (three) share seven wickets in a 98 run win ahead of next week's vital clash at home to third placed Portsmouth.

The first team are beaten by 10 wickets at home to St.Cross thanks to Hampshire's Jimmy Adams who scores a classy unbeaten ton.Max Waller (52) and Andy Sexton (44) top score in the total of 172.The seconds win by 8 wickets at St.Cross II with Ben Nolan-Stone (4 for 19) and John Whiting (3 for 21) helping dismiss the home side for just 72.Gavin Bailiff (22no) top scores as the win is secured with 29 overs to spare.

The firsts secure a losing draw with Neil Thurgood (89no) and Richard Armstrong (44no) top scoring after Kevin Nash (5 for 57) and Richard Morris (3 for 47) had reduced Hursley Park to 18 for 4.The second team promotion charge continues as Ben Nolan-Stone (46),Terry Steadman (39),Simon Dean (36) and Dan Friedman (30) help post 263 against Hursley Park II before Neil Taylor (4 for 38) helps dismiss the visitors for 212.

The weekend started early with Wardie's Warriors winning the Stone Cup against Swan Green at Pylewell Park. The first team narrowly miss out on a winning draw against champions-elect Havant at the BCG. Having dismissed the visitors for just 207 (Richard Morris 4 for 41) makeshift opener Max Waller (71) guides the ones into a strong position.Yet again Havant's spin attack causes a mid order collapse and the innings eventually closes at 186 for 9 just one run short of a winning draw.The second team return to winning ways with a hard fought 16 run win at Sparsholt.In form Phil Morris (54),Mike West (33) and Simon Dean (32) help post a decent 240 for 9.Tight bowling and good fielding restrict the home side early on and leave the tail too much to do as the side maintain their fourth place in the league. The 4ths winning steak came to an end against Hordle. Their 220-3 was overhauled in the 41st over. Ian Britton (71*), Neil Prince (50) and Richard King (43) all made good contributions.

The first team gain a creditable winning draw against Hampshire Academy with Chris Jones (105no) making his first ton for the club with Neil Thurgood (42) and Richard Morris (32) supporting.Kevin Nash then takes 5 for 47 before rain causes a premature end to the match.The seconds lose to table topping Hartley Wintney. The visitors score 229 for 7 (Mike West 3 for 52) but this proves too many as only Phil Morris (42), Neil Taylor (34) and Shaun Lilley (25) make significant contributions in a disappointing batting display.

The firsts are soundly beaten by a James Hibberd inspired South Wilts.Chris Jones (91) and Andy Sexton (43)

help post 219 but Hibberd's 97 sees the visitors to an easy victory.The second team are thwarted by rain having scored 207 at South Wilts.Mike West (44) and Gavin Bailiff (40) doing the bulk of the run scoring before the home reply was halted at 44 for 2 after 19 overs. The 4ths powered to 252-6 against Cadnam 2 with Greg Jones scoring his maiden league ton with 102 and Fig making 59. Cadnam could only muster 132 in reply with all the bowlers taking wickets.

SUPER SATURDAY 3

All Five teams win again for the third time in SUPER JUNE! The first team beat Alton by six wickets thanks to Chris Jones (61),debutant Hampshire CCC player Richard Morris (34) and in form Andy Sexton (33) together with Max Waller's 4 for 27 return. Seconds beat US Pompey by seven wickets with Ben Nolan-Stone hitting 74 from 34 balls with only 15 dot balls and an incredible run of 14 successive fours and sixes,followed up with 4 for18 with the ball. The thirds continue to march on undefeated with a run of 22 successive wins and the fourth and fifth teams winning in the last over of their games to cap a third SUPER SATURDAY this year.

SUPER SATURDAY 2

The first team win again against fellow strugglers Andover at the BCG.Spin twins Max Waller (3 for 40) and Glyn Treagus (3 for 28) restrict the visitors to just 161.Neil Thurgood (35),Andy Sexton (35) and Chris Jones with 48 steer the side to a three wicket victory.The seconds leap to third in the table with 26 run at a very wet Privett Park,Gosport.Having been inserted only Ross Grierson (30) and extras made significant contributions in a score of 123.This was too many for the home side as Mike West ,with a club best 5 for 25 and John Whiting (3 for 35) skittle the home side for just 97.

The 4ths did their bit by beating top of table West Moors with a great all round performance. Richard King (42), Geoff Bettle (38) and Sam Scott (38 no) helped them to 201-7 on "the rug". A total they defended comfortably, in the end, with a fine all round fielding display, a league best 4-14 from Tom O'Sullivan, four catches by Greg Jones and another sharp performance behind the stumps from Guy Clifford.

The firsts lose by three wickets at Bournemouth with only Andy Sexton (39) and Glyn Treagus (32) passing thirty as they post 155.Kevin Nash with 5 for 39 bowled superbly to reduce the home side to 90 for 6 but it was not enough as the home side recovered to win.Shaun Lilley (64) continued his rich vein of form and together with Phil Morris' league best 60 saw the 2nd team reach 210 at home to Trojans.Ben Nolan-Stone (3 for 30) and Mike West (3 for 50) reduced the visitors to 90 for 7 but a late recovery nearly saw them home until a run out leaves them just 8 runs short. A superb 98 from Ian Britton, backed up by a league best 39 not out from Sam Scott saw the 4ths post 240-5 at Picket Post against Ellingham 2. John Marsh then blew away the top order with 4-30. Ellingham recovered from the depths of 30-5 to finish on 182-9.

The ones are beaten by 7 runs in a low scoring affair at home against Totton & Eling.Having dismissed the visitors for just 131 (Max Waller 3 for 9) a win was on the cards but once the top order collapsed to 30 for 5 only Neil Thurgood (33) and Gavin Bailiff with a superb 64 made a telling contribution in another disappointing loss.The 2nd team continue their fine start with an empahtic 169 run win at Fair Oak.Ben Nolan-Stone with a boundary strewn 83,Shaun Lilley (61) and Neil Taylor (41) power the side to 267 and then Jason Eede picks up 5 for 34 as the hosts are shot out for 98.The club reach the area semi-final of the National KO with an easy win at South Wilts.Chris Jones stars again with the bat compiling a classy 77,supported by Andy Sexton (46) and Neil Thurgood (42) in a total of 187 for 5.The bowling is spot on as barely a bad ball is bowled by anyone and the home side are shot out for just 96 with Jake Lilley,Kevin Nash,Andy Neal and Max Waller all grabbing a brace.

For the 4ths Will Gunnell (6-35) and Sam Scott (3-39) bowl out Paultons 3 for just 116. Skipper Richard King (59*) and Greg Jones (42) make sure of a comfortable win.

SUPER SATURDAY

The firsts finally get a win at fellow strugglers St.Cross.Andy Sexton,showing a welcome return to form,top scores with 57 and Chris Jones' 34 contibute to a total of 158.This proves far too many for the home side as Matt King (3 for 9),Kevin Nash(2 for 10) and Andy Neal(2 for 14) rout them for just 66.The second team win once again by 2 wickets chasing Easton & Martyr Worthy's 178 for 7.Phil Morris (47) and Neil Taylor (44) taking the side to 129 for 2 before a familiar collapse sees a tense last over victory thanks to Chris Vaughan (16) and Chris Gates' (12) cool head.The 3rds,4ths and 5ths all win to complete another Super Saturday and we would still like someone to contribute to this page for these sides (Ed).

The first team continue their poor start with a two wicket defeat at home to Hursley Park.Max Waller (37), Paul Cass (30),Andy Sexton (29) and Neil Thurgood (25) all make useful contributions in a total of 203 but Jimmy Taylor (69no) continued his liking for the BCG wicket to see his side home.The 2nd team's unbeaten start comes to an abrupt end with a comprehensive 106 run defeat at Hambledon.Set 206 to win they are shot out for just 99 with only Phil Morris (42) making a fist of the difficult batting surface.

The first team are resoundingly thrashed by an impressive Havant side who amass 285 with Andy Sexton ,in a rare long spell, taking 3 for 38 and Kevin Nash 3 for 54.The batting collapses once again and they are shot out for a paltry 88.The second team win again at home to Tichborne Park,dismissing the visitors for 153 (Ben Nolan-Stone 4 for 40).Phil Morris (27) and Nolan-Stone (34) again lay the foundations for Shaun Lilley (30no) to secure victory by two wickets.The 3rd and 5th teams win but the 4th's are beaten.The club progress to the next round of the National Club KO with an excellent victory at Ventnor.A large travelling contingent saw Max Waller,Andy Neal and Jake Lilley all take two wickets backed up by a fine display of wicket keeping by Jon Childs who took three catches and two stumpings.Neil Thurgood (30) and Neal (29) contributed but it was a superb 81 from Chris Jones which held the innings together as Bashley cruised home by 5 wickets with 8 overs to spare.

The firsts play much better but lose by one wicket off the last ball to the Academy.Glyn Treagus,making a welcome appearance,scores 49 and Andy Sexton continues his good early season form with a well crafted 52 out of 196.Kevin Nash (3 for 28) and Max Waller (3 for 27) take the bowling honours in a tidy allround performance. The 2nd XI win again at Paultons with Gavin Bailiff,in his first SEPCL bowling stint,taking 5 for 21 including a hat trick all caught by Jon Childs.Calum Maher (25) and Childs (41) do the spadework for skipper Shaun Lilley(51) to see the side home to a two wicket win with an over to spare.The 3rds,4ths and 5ths all won....it would be good if someone could take responsibility for entering details of these teams' games on the website (Ed).

The season starts with a poor batting performance from the 1st team who are bowled out for just 74 at South Wilts (Andy Sexton 26) having earlier dismissed the home side for 139 (Neil Taylor 3 for 21).Lack of match practice and application attributable to most of the wickets on both sides.On the plus side the bowling and fielding was generally up to scratch.
